Why did you refuse to show any of the swimming?????? Why concentrate only on 'Track & Field' aka Athletics. there is MORE to the Olympics than what you have shown.

And the jump of Kerri Strug on the vaulting-horse in gymnastics? And Shannon Miller? And Dominique Moceanu? And Usa gymnastics team? And the medals of Svetlana Khorkina? And the participation of Romanians: Andrea Raducan, Maria Olaru and Simona Amanar?. And Lilia Podkopayeva? And the Kurt Angle gold medal? THIS DOCUMENTARY IS MISSING THE GREATEST OF ATLANTA. THAT LAMENTABLE!
Alejandro Almanza (7 months ago)
pabloalanoca Sorry friend you are confused, Andrea Raducan and Maria Olaru did not participate in this olympiad. They compite in the Sydney olympiad 4 years later. The real participants that year with Amanar was Gina Gogean, Lavinia Milosovici, Alexandra Marinescu, Ionela Loaies and Mirela Tugurlan

I know that in archery at the olympics they shoot at 70 meters now. Did it used to be 50 meters? Otherwise why would Huish be training shooting across the street through the garage at 50 yards

I was very lucky to have been able to see the Olympic Flame in '96 passing through N. Georgia. I was 11 years old. Something that I will never forget. Very lucky to have been able to experience the centennial games in my hometown.

The voice appears as a digitised voice for the 1996 olimypics back then in the beautiful city of Atlanta, I was there in 1996 and it is now 2016. An interesting fact the games were stopped in 1886.

I will never forget two things personal about the 1996 Atlanta Olympics:1.  Going to Dalton, ga to see the torch go through (for some reason it didn't go through Chattanooga, tn.)2.  by god's grace though we were planning to be there my family was not at the park the night of the bombing.  my grandfather was held up by something at work.  we went the next day instead

Where was the 100m final? This is almost always the or one of the most watched events throughout olympic history. A world record was broken. How on earth could that not make this film. That was also the entire heat had a star studded cast. There was huge drama involving a false start. That is the most historic 100m final in olympic history and why is it not here? Is it because an American didn't medal? This is why people try to find other non american outlets to watch international events.
GianniVHL (3 years ago)
+DeeTee221 of Course that is why they spent oodles of time on the womans 4x100 and virtually non on Mens 100 and absolute zero on mens 4x100.. Canada (Donovan Bailey) Won the 100m (broke World Record doing it) and anchored the 4x100 - (would have broken record there too but coasted 30 m out) those two events blow away anything else. first time US did not win a medal in the mens 4x100 when they actually finished. In addition, because of Donovon Bailey winning and breaking record for 100m Johnson the 200 and 400m winner was trying to call HIMSELF the fastest man on the planet even though it was always understood it is the 100m winner. Bailey was pretty pissed at this and they eventually decided on a 150m race in Skydome Stadium (now Rogers Stadium) where Bailey blew him away before Johnson faked an injury after Bailey had passded him. At the end of the day its a US production so they can do what they want but pretty lame if you ask me.

No women's gymnastics? The women's event was much dramatic/eventful/groundbreaking than the men's...
pabloalanoca (9 months ago)
Hannah Aldrich EXACTLY. I do not understand how such a documentary can leave out the jump made by Kerri Strug with which he gave the gold to USA and with which the ankle is almost broken. or the triple podium achieved by the Romanians Andrea Raducan, Maria Olaru and Simona Amanar. Or the medals of the great Russian gymnast Svetlana Khorkina. And other women like the Ukrainians who filled with emotion and charm the floor exercises and apparatus in the ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS. What a disappointment that this video being official hide those jewels, those beauties.

Paul EJ (3 years ago)
+Jbirdrules3818 You didn't read my post very well did you I said per capita New Zealand and Australia are neck and neck in that stat As we stand right now The US..1073 golds..860 silver & 751 bronze Aust.......143  golds..156 silver &180 bronze If Australia had been the same population as the USA since the Modern Olympics started the pop of the USA has been approx 14x that of Australia If the figures are adjusted for population differences Australia would have 2002 Gold....2184 Silver and 2520 Bronze
Lukas Dunaway (3 years ago)
that's disturbing...

God ...you compare the opening ceremony in Atlanta in 1996 and Sydney in 2000 ...and it is chalk and cheese.......no where near as good.....not even close! Then you look at the sporting performances??.........forget it no comparison!!
