What about the Vic driving through Moab?
Fronzilla (4 days ago)
Its hands down one of the most embarrising vehicles you can drive nowadays, everytime I see one of these on the streets I start laughing. It was trying so hard to be cool as the original hummer h1 but failed miserably, also the visibility is so weak cause all the windows are so narrow to give it this styling they were looking for. For example if you look in the back there is a huge blindspot where all it is from the outside are some fake plastic vents for "style". the guys at gm must have been thinking, so do we add more visibility so they can see better ooooorrrr do we add some fake vents for "style". This truck is like a car that looks like a lambo but drives like a chevy aveo

This thing us one of the most embarrasing suvs u can drive today it really is a whackass suv

Lmao I’ve been livin in Moab before it got popular on YouTube, it’s cool to see this place get popular like this

H2 has always been one of the most capable off road vehicles. It was just used as the status symbol of its time and was hardly ever used for what it was designed for. Much like the Ford Raptor now. People just buy them to have a "Hummer" in their garage and drive their beaters off road, in the snow, and only drive the Hummer when its nice and Sunny.

Enjoy the channel, however music is lame!

I love my 07 Hummer H2, watching this vid made me appreciate it more...
Robert Daniel (22 days ago)
Why does the H2 get suck bad milage? Even a suburban gets 15 average
MrAbletospeak (24 days ago)
The World probably has little interest in the H2. It may be the most hated in the USA which is not the World, contrary to what most people from the USA seem to think.
Derek Swanson (27 days ago)
Of course Andre bought it -- he's quite the GM fanboi :P Impressive. And guys, it's not about mpg when four-wheeling, it's about smiles per mile.
Roland Georges (1 month ago)
Way underrated, I had a 2008 H2 SUT with Off-Road package, color black with Sedona red interior, changed the tires from 35 to 37 inch, that's all I changed. Over a timespan of 8 years and 187.000 miles I did 90% of the trails in Moab; we enjoyed going 3 times per year. We travelled all over the US in luxury and comfort with our H2 and never had any problems. An incredible vehicle and American Icon. Btw. The performance off-road was better than my H1. In my life I had many vehicles, hence, the H2 will always be my most memorable.
You guys should do the water/tea bottle test for all your off road adventures to show us how steep the hills are that you climb. Excellent demo

At first I didn’t like H2’s...then I realized how much they pissed a lot of people off so I decided to like them hahaha

I love the hummer lineup. I feel if gmc brought it back today, they would sell better given gas is cheaper, flex fuel is more common and they make very fuel efficient v8s now.

I offroad with Jeeps and have to put up with them ripping my H2 constantly. I am air down all the time. I take the kids. We have fun. Best of all that, the only thing I've ever broken was a wheel hub and frankly, that was in 2015 for a 2005. My Jeep buddies are great away from their Jeeps, but my lord they are downright nasty in them. We stopped going this year as the crowd got younger out here in Pennsylvania. We drove all the way out to California for vacation last year to meet some other Hummer drivers and spent three weeks (three days offroading) and it was beautiful in NorCal.

On my 4th Hummer since 2003, won't drive anything else. Quickly becoming a collectors item. Getting hard to find under 80k miles. Love em!!!
Michael Mckinney (2 months ago)
note that this is not an H1 Hummer this is a civilian Hummer the civilian Hummer is nothing more than a Chevrolet frame and drivetrain with a Hummer body the H1 Hummer does not have traditional axles they used to Sprague's one off of the rear end and one on the hub assembly to give maximum ground clearance this video should not be titled as Hummer versus Moab
Jay's Lyfe (2 months ago)
Most hated, by whom might I ask??
Geoff Moore (2 months ago)
The H2 and H3 were too expensive in their day to go off road, for most. However the equipment they come with, especially the H3 Alpha make them great platforms. When they become bargain basement trucks they will get snatched up and turned into off road rigs and be used and abused.
Tristan Hipps (2 months ago)
id love to see where hummer would be today if 2008 never happened. I just bought a H3 alpha and plan to overland it. its a super cool vehicle
W W (2 months ago)
While I am not an H2 fan by any means, this was a nice demonstration of its off road abilities in your area. Nicely done. Your videos never leave me disappointed. 1 question would be, on that same terrain(with the interactive lizards, lol) which stock vehicle in 2018 would you choose?(bet I know) :)

if one hates it, then dont buy it. civics with crooked rear tires looks hideous, but why hate, just dont buy it

Good vid I love my h3 hummers are dam good stock rig they do more than an lifted truck
TacticalPrepper (2 months ago)
GM shaved 450 pounds off the Silverado through the use of aluminum for 2019. Makes me wonder if the H2 could have been more successful if aluminum had been used in it's construction. If the truck was 1000 pounds lighter, had more engine options and better fuel economy, they may still be making them.

We need the tea test at 2:50 everytime you shoot angles and talk about how hard it is to see, Roman. That's crazy steep. What's Gold Mine Hill and the Ike like?
Kevin Tangreen (2 months ago)
Dam site cheaper in my Crown Vic. Pretty sure I had less than $1,000 in it. Tried to get Ford Motor Company to buy this Fusion so I can take it out there. It's four-wheel drive,But too low to jump the curb. Would not be pretty any more, after the first 20 feet.
Gary Grinkevich (2 months ago)
That hummer looks like it struggles with some very basic terrain, good thing you had a locker.

thank you, thank you, thank you. I get so much shit for my hummer you have no idea. This is what I got it for and I love it! I have a lift on it and my tires are huge but it has never left me stranded or stuck anywhere so far. I go to Moab often xxx
meme master 69 (3 months ago)
This thing is capable, but let's not forget that stock Crown Victorias have ran this trail with no issues.
Scott McEwen (3 months ago)
Wow that tree really grew at a strange angle...or maybe it was just that the camera was tilted to make the hill look steeper. Yeesh, you guys
Cole Gromis (3 months ago)
Why did you not press height control? Would have raised rear up....
Bwanar1 (3 months ago)
That was hardly off roading. A little light rock crawling. If you don't have a winch and another vehicle, then you weren't really testing the vehicles capabilities.
The Fast Lane Truck (3 months ago)
Yes, we know a Civic can do it. We’ve heard this so many times and mostly from people who have never been to Moab.

I want one now... your videos have won me over. I've had 2 Chevy trucks in the past (loved them) and have wanted an overlanding rig for a while now. I think this would be a super fun weekender.
Jason Taylor (7 days ago)
I have a corvette with less than 30,000 miles on it and I just got an H2 with 163,000 miles on it. It looks very similar to this one in the video and I like driving this big thing even more than my Vette

How does it do on Moab rim. Really narrow path. The hummer is rather wide...

Worst 4x4 wheeler ever made, and I'm not joking. The crown vic on YouTube did all this and it's only stock and rear wheel drive lol. The h2 is a joke unless you're a Mexican soccer ball mom delivering her 14 kids to the game on a summer afternoon.
19882fast4u (2 months ago)
+Jonathan Dumont Exactly....... Oh wait it will fit if you floor it and want both sides to come out looking like a stepped on beer can and the undercarriage completely broken on the trail...... So yeah, it doesn't fit any trail. Plus the cost to wheel that fat piece of shit and the gas to do is just a damn joke at best. They actually have little room inside given their enormous body and are not built tough but mostly out of plastic and then ass metal panels for the body and wheel whale's. They Litteraly are the worst 4x4 ever made if you take them out and someone didn't put at least 50k into them for the trail
Jonathan Dumont (2 months ago)
19882fast4u ya I don't get why everyone is praising this pos in these comments. This thing it pretty much a stretched out Chevy 2500. Anything bigger than a jeep or the older 4 runners won't fit down trails where I life.
AHillbillyRider (3 months ago)
I dont know whats wrong with them I mean I am more of a humvee guy but come on its still a hummer
miikkaayyllaa1 (3 months ago)
I had a 2003 H2 and put an "elocker" on the front. That rig went everywhere a jeep went, except when it was too wide. Also put a turbo charger in it. 0-110 in no time...
Teddy's Lift World (3 months ago)
This thing is amazing off-road. I would have to say that they are better than H1s because of the H2 has solid axles whereas the H1 has independent suspension.
Matthew Hoopes (23 days ago)
Teddy's Lift World . Umm, you mean a solid rear axle right. You said "axles", plural. Just clarifying

Wow. What a fun video and as a true lover of Hummer H2 and nature, Loved all I see here. @4:19 glad no lizard was hurt during shooting of this wonderful video:) but I couldn't understand what you said at 11:20! @ 1:12 (or 10:35) I wanted to bet that you forgot to lock the differential in low. Then as I see at 4:36, I am glad I didn't bet on it! Lets tell you why your wheel slides. Beside a little excess push on the gas (When steady low push, patiently and trustfully is all that is needed), your main mistake is what you neglect at 6:42. Please do air down to 15 psi or likewise next time and see how you get glued to off road's hardest terrain. I have Mudgrappler Nitto 35x13.50R22LT larger shoes on mine and though I think it is better than your BFgoody, I'm sure mine wouldn't slide there due to mentioned factor. Well there are times that "Low is actually High!"@8:12 ! That is what I get when towing my large boat, up the mountain. 9 is the Norm and rare to get much more out of it in any condition but then you don't rid on Hummer to save on gas.Angle of approach and departure could never be made any better, off the factory, on any car, than Hummer and that is a fact Hummer haters will never talk about (Losers with small body parts and large illusive dream power,  in an ignorant way!!) (Kind of low life forms that you could see their activity on FUH2.com site!!!!). Even @13:23, that kiss wasn't a French kiss or something! Hummer is 'Second to None" in this. Don't forget its only Hummer that can truly climb a wall, without any modifications, off the factory and in stock format. And to the best of my knowledge no car in history of auto making has that record. LINK > >  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXvxIy4YupI . @ 2:21 & 2:40, Loved your sophisticated Horizno-Level-meter!!! One of the few scientific tools that can be very refreshing, Cool or Hot!!!!! Well, Whether you want to admit or neglect; Love or hate; there is nothing like Hummer, ever made, on the plant earth and I'm fully confident they will go to production again. Meanwhile treasure yours as the price of these things will skyrocket in a short time, for sure. You have one more viewer. Thumbs upped big time (Hummer type) & subscribed.

This is just dumb. You're driving on rock. It's like driving on the road. The only thing you're testing is ground clearance. I can do these trails in my piece of shit Dodge Caliber.

Great video. New respect for the H2.
Reed Foster (5 months ago)
Hummer H2's are very off-road capable! Very reliable too. Most people think the MPG sucks but it isn't bad.
Roland Georges (1 month ago)
You are so correct, any truck with that weight will have similar consumption. Reliability was tops on mine, never had a problem with 187.000 miles on the teller.
A GM (5 months ago)
That's the kind of terrain that a Hummer is made for, not for going to the mall and cruising on the boulevard.
News that matter (5 months ago)
That truck would have been better with a few more inches on it. It would have been the "ultimate off road" machine. Seriously, you don't need a fancy awd system. A basic awd with locking diff and ground clearance can you out of anything you tackle.

And Andre - I am confident you have a Corsa catback on there. That might be the Sport-version. I've had both on mine, and I'm pretty sure you have the Sport.
radz282003 (5 months ago)
I don't know if you've noticed this, or if you have, if you've tried it, but GM designed a quasi-locking front differential, according to their literature. No - it is not mechanical, like the rear, but the Owner's Manual says (something to the effect), that foot-braking while climbing obstacles that lift a tire off the ground will force the ABS-system to stop the air-bound wheel, thereby transferring power to the wheel on the ground, that has traction. So - when you climb over terrain where a tire becomes airborne, if you carefully footbrake, the brake caliper on the high tire will transfer the power down the axle/differential, and the tire on the ground will then pull the truck along. I don't think I've seen you guys do that in this rig. It works in mine, probably similarly to many other vehicles.
Threesixty31 (5 months ago)
You should at least have disconnected both sway bars. Sway bars are huge on this truck. It's a heresy to do four wheeling with it. It's is so easy to unbolt one side only and secure one link with zipies. That would have greatly increase traction.
