Is this copyrighted? Can I use it in a short film for Abingdon Film Unit? https://vimeo.com/abingdonfilmunit

The Hellifield to Blackburn route closed to passenger trains on 15th August 1964 (there had been only one train a week since 1962) so either that bit of film was earlier or the whole film was shot in August '64

Assuming that it was all filmed at the same time the earliest that it could have been done was August 1964. This is due to the Jubilee shown on shed with it's yellow cabside stripe. Jinty no. 47641 went to Kingmoor in July 1964 and was withdrawn in October 1966. There were no shots of any Coronations so that means it was very probably after September 1964. If anyone knows when the Bay Platform tracks were removed from Helifield that may narrow the date down a little more.

So sad to think that many if not all these majestic steam beauty, are now either rusting somewhere or completely gone. With a couple saved for posterity.

Very true Gary. Another thing saddens me - the people in the film are most probably dead now!
