I disliked you for the last phrase. I have no problems if I can't aim fast or precise enough. What I DO have problem if I shoot dead center, it doesn't register. And problem isn't hitboxes. It's: 1) different spread on client side and server side. 2) it seems that spread is wider, than it should be. To further the second point. I have AK, and I have a guy just a few meteres in front of me. I aim to his body or head, I control my spray and everything. I almost see that bullets have nowhere to go but into his torso. What do I get? A pretty bullet pattern on the wall BEHIND him, and myself killed.

On the other hitbox video i read a comment saying that the models should be more dynamic, so if a player does not buy a helmet or kevlar, then it should not be on his model! i liked that idea a lot and i think it would make the game more precise and detailed!!

the details like belts and backpacks make the game look nice (in my opinion) and naturally they are not included in the hitboxes, i dont think its a problem!

Well.. to be honest.. being shot at a small bag on your hip won't hurt you at all.. just saying xD So it doesn't really matter they aren't part of the hitbox model.

I don't think you understand. All hitboxes have the same length, size and number of parts, for a reason. Having different ones would offset the game balance, giving some players a competitive edge against others based on the model they chose.

It's BS. We've got enough computational power to use models for hitboxes and it was being done back in 2007 with CoD 4.

They really should refine those hitboxes but I think they'll probably release more skins for the "community" instead of fixing/refine those hitboxes...

TBH Bags and hats poking out of the hit boxes aren't a big deal. Unless you want the player model to be a low poly detail-less boring stick man. And you should have a knowledge about the surrounding covers that may or may not be covering you in the first place. (Since you're not playing a VR game.) So the problem is the actual body model within the hit boxes that matters, if the hit boxes are too big or not fitting the torso and limbs compare to the model, that's a problem. If not, then no problem at all.

Can someone explain why the hitboxes can't be the model itself? Why does it have to be different models of the model itself insteaf of the whole model being the hitbox? Is it because you deal different amounts of damage depending on where you shoot? :)

Polygon count, player models have high polygon counts that take time to render, if the hitboxes weren't simple shapes, you would be rendering twice the amount of models and slowly down your system.

Actually wtf is he talking about? Like really, the stuff that pokes out is ok. And in game you wont be aiming at the very top, left or right on enemy's head. Can't headshot? Go for bodyshots then. Like really i'm so pissed of by him saying that hitboxes dont match with really tiny bits of the enemy body

yea i agree with you, if the models like the separatists wear those hats then just dont aim for corners of the hat, its normal that they dont kill! also things like backpacks, of course they do not count as hits, should all models wear spandex suits?? on the other hitbox vid i read a comment that the models should be more dynamic: if a player does not buy a helmet or kevlar, it shouldnt be on his model! i liked that idea a lot

It's not about the hit box when they are standing still. It's about the hit box when they are moving. So many times when you can see the bullet hole right behind them, but somehow it just doesn't hit

Classic phillip.. Getting triggered by details, rather than enjoying the game. Hitboxes in their current state are almost perfect, some minor modifications would help, but even without them, its playable.

Question: Are all T hitboxes 100% same or there are differences like T model on D2/Mirage being smaller than the one on Inferno.. cuz that could be a big problem.. especially in pro scene

Seems like the easiest fix would be to reduce the randomness the weapons have in CS:GO. If the weapons are more accurate, you are more likely to hit. Would also have the side-effect of making more playstyles viable, and would make the game more skillful.

Nice video,but you have to agree that csgo community(especially the people on reddit) are a bunch of tools.. Blame the net code,blame the hit boxes,blame the tick rate,blame the guns,blame the servers,blame the vac Maybe they should stop and consider that they are just not as good as they thought themselves to be.. Those saying 1.6/Source was better,both had the the same problems as csgo has,they had it even worse. for some reason they cant accept that csgo is the best cs game when it comes to competitive gaming. hating on csgo and valve has become such a circle jerk in the community,I feel bad for the devs. Anything they do,the response is negative. Makes me very sad. Cant we all just play the game we all love and not be bitching all day long. It is okay to complain about the bad stuff,but saying the same shit is getting very old and annoying.. ps - Just to be clear,not everyone is annoying. Some of the people in our community(ex-3kliksphilip,warowl,2kliksphilip,etc) are AMAZING,and we are lucky to have them.

No, i think clothing should not be counted as hitbox, bags should be removed all together but i see why they are there, they look nice and it could add an element to the game in which you need to account for your equippment when "hiding" csgo maybe shouldnt be realistic but it would be retarded to be killed from getting the corner of your hat shot, that bullet shouldnt be a hit anyways since its so far off imo

Hey, while voting on Workshop Items i found a brilliant map called fluid designed by rustyy, a small german map creator. The map really impressed me because i've never heard of him before. Also great defusal (and hostage) maps go down because either they are not shown on the cs workshop page as most popular, or because they are from small mappers that no one follows (i mean mappers like fmpone and catfood have many followers and when they release a map its always shown on the csgo workshop front page together with some bad maps where i dont understand why they are on the same level). Mostly you find bhop maps and so on, while others are not noticed. I think there needs to be a change because nobody notices workshop maps that are good. Like when you made the video: operation save the operation - just a small amount of people played the map before the video, but then it boomed. When i check the workshop page i only see: minecraft_inferno or BHOP_ or HS_ or Aim_ but spotting a normal map seems to be extremely rare. So they dont get a real chacne to improve. No players -> no playtesting -> no feedback -> no improvement -> too bad to become an operation map.
