Back then it was a trial run for me, I only ever use !stopsound when my game becomes really choppy from server lag and fps drops. If you do hate the gun sound though and would like to save some fps in the process by all means type !stopsound :).

Some prefer !stopsound for stable fps during areas of frequent gunfire or the obvious reason less noise. I prefer the weapon sounds enabled to cover up the nothingness when the chat is quiet.
As for the recent private message on Youtube I pretty much do this alone :). People are always welcome to join the server when I'm in-game, but I wouldn't do collabs, Skype chats and the sort.
+ernesto co jr Testing !stopsound :D. Some kept saying ear rape, headset users RIP so did a few recordings with !stopsound that puts a stop to all the noisy gunfire sounds.
After that I was told to switch !stopsound back off so did as commanded :).
+Nathan Adams On a weekend it could be any number of hours. GFL in particular does pretty well on a 24 hourly basis, a US community. When it comes to weekdays I would say 16:00PM - 24:00 US EST. Which often ends up really late for European and Asia based players.
