I know this video is old but why is taking down csgolounge something good? Its a BETTING SITE and TRADING SITE!
Why CSGO is not a simulation? For example, CT or T can not prone, can stick you gun into a wall, and can still fire without hurting yourself. OK, now what's most important! Why CSGO is not as balanced as CS1.6? 1.AWP is over powerful, we old CS players all know AWP in CS1.6 is Axed compared to CS 1.5. There's about 0.5 second time lag after you scope in and fire and during this lag time, you can not fire, no mentioning accuracy of your bullet. AND, it is much easier to prefire accurately, you simply press the opposite move direction button and fire, it's so accurate that you can kill T sniper in Dust_2 mid gate if you are a CT sniper. BUT in CS1.6, this quick stop and fire is much difficult to master though I know how . You press the opposite move direction button and fire, opps, it missed the target in CS1.6. In order to be accurate, you need stop for 0.2 second after you pressed the opposite moving direction button. This also Axed the AWP in CS 1.6 . 2. The Rifle is Axed so AWP is enhanced in CSGO because You can not wallbang through most obstacles or even if you can, the damage is so little compared to CS 1.6. SO in this way, The AWPER fires and missed the target and hide behind the obstacle, you as a rifleman can not shoot him, all you can do is wait and shoot when enemy AWPER appears and aim at where the AWPER could appear. Remember that it takes the AWPER only 1 bullet to kill you! In CS1.6, you can shoot the AWPER even if he hides behind obstacles. So the AWPER requires much more competence than that in CSGO. THIS is the MAIN 2 reason I choose rifle more than AWP in CS1.6 but in CSGO , I pick AWP and can push like rifle man, I can also kill enemy if I encounter enemy in close quarter combat. Just scope in and fire, clicking right button and then the left button of your mouse alomost at the same time or in quick succession.

a common error is hit registry, there are many matches I shoot directly at head, the bullet in the video actually hits but the dude: 100% health. and there are thousands of videos around youtube about it, it got worse when Valve did the update of the tap, burst recoil fix.

neko (2 years ago)
My heart bleeds for you, man. Except it doesn't. Go buy a cheap ass phone and use mobile authenticator for it. It's not that hard, unless you live in Africa or some shit. What you don't realise is that there is no way to remove smurfing and hackers for the majority. This was a difficult decision on Valve's part, but it was necessary. Would you rather a small portion of the playerbase had to deal with hackers/smurfers, or all of it?

Speaking as someone very familiar with competitive gaming, but only mildly so with competitive CSGO I cannot understand Valve's issue with coaches.
Digiquo (2 years ago)
+invictuS This. There's no rules saying a team must have a coach, so teams that do will have a distinct advantage over teams that don't, and it's much more fair and balanced to mostly eliminate the role of coaches from active play rather than force teams to get a coach in order to participate in pro games.
neko (2 years ago)
The issue is - both teams have a coach. It is totally fair and balanced, and if one coach is better than the other, that's the same as one player being better than the other. There is no problem with having a "sixth player" as they cannot directly interact with the game, and all they can do is merely suggest strategies that the rest of the team - since they're focusing too much on the game - won't think of straight away. It'd help to keep the team more focused and organised.
Digiquo (2 years ago)
i would imagine the changes are to prevent coaches from being like a real time strategist giving immediate orders to their team. in that sense they really are more like a 6th player than a coach
ericsbuds (2 years ago)
the coaching rules seem fair. if someone is standing behind you watching all 5 screens at once, it does become a 6th player almost.
ericsbuds (2 years ago)
+Chen true
neko (2 years ago)
They can't watch all five at once, to be fair.
ericsbuds (2 years ago)
workshop botting?
ericsbuds (2 years ago)
+Chen I wouldn't put it past anyone lol
neko (2 years ago)
It's where a bunch of accounts used as bots are all instructed to go and upvote the latest submission of their 'owner', I suppose. All to hide the actual maps from view and replacing them with shitty, half baked maps that just spam the workshop.
Luke Leiato (2 years ago)
Finally something not tf2
Josh (2 years ago)
Good, they have removed coaching a long time ago. CSGO doesn't have a 6th player called "coach"
yaks (2 years ago)
Valve games are slowly dying. Meanwhile 4 years ago the employees listen to the community, now they don't. I think Valve is busy with something else, perhaps Source 2 ports, new CS?
neko (2 years ago)
You really like saying 'also', don't you? Your comment was painful to read. But yes, I do agree - casual players won't care. But a larger majority of CSGO players (that aren't actually stupid) are the 'die-hard', since the updates all directly affect them and how they play. My point is that Valve has their sale analytics. They will know if there's a drop in sales and a general negative reaction from the community, and I'd assume, with how many shitty updates they've been pushing, they have a _very_ good idea of what a 'negative reaction' looks like by now.
The History Nerd (2 years ago)
But no one will do that. A lot of people don't care about these changes, only die hard fans really do. Also they also make their money on Steam. Even if you don't buy a valve game on steam, Valve still makes money. Also with selling items, Valve also gets money.
neko (2 years ago)
If Valve were to go EA, we'd boycott them and stop buying their games. The difference here is that Valve is not primarily a publisher, so we don't have to give them money to play different kinds of games. We could just stop playing theirs.
The History Nerd (2 years ago)
Yeah Valve probebly doesn't do that because they believe that since the community worships them, they feel that they can get away with that

Holy shit, this gameplay makes game look totally different
LauchusRexus (2 years ago)
recent? you mean recent since 4 years, right?
Xip (2 years ago)
I don't think the 6th player statement is true. I can't decide for them, obviously, but in my eyes there is no 6th player unless that player is actively on the server, playing the game (not merely being a spectator). The only thing this will do is taking coach-driven teams and send them to hell basically, where if everything goes wrong, they'll end up being outside of top10. Not that this is an issue for me at all (new blood can perhaps arise), but that doesn't change that saying the coach is a 6th player is a bit far fetched.
Xip (2 years ago)
+Keith Raposa Jr. I know. I just do not agree. All the coach does is giving advice. I know he might tell them to do what he just told them, but in the end it's just advice. Even if they are strat callers. I would bring that up for debate, but it isn't relevant to do so when Valve already took that step without consulting just about anyone but themselves. I know it isn't a requirement for them to talk with pros or the community before doing something, but doing so would result in a lot more respect.
The History Nerd (2 years ago)
You don't get it at all. Calling it stats IS a skill. All competitive games in CSGO have 5v5, with no spectators watching them telling them what to do.Getting rid of the coatch either make players learn strategies or replace them with new players who know strats AND know how to play. Having someone who isn't playing spectate and tells them what to do is a sixth player because he helps them win matches

Mike Nepo (2 years ago)
LOL, the CSed thing is so true. Got 2 headshots with MP-7 on a casual match the other day, 80> damage. But an AK to the foot will do 30+. I hope they make the game far less focused on rifles, because after the AK/M4 update, there is very little merit to using anything but the AK,M4s and AWP. Hit reg is also still god awful on most servers.

Am I really the only one who hates literally every single new sound? Sure they sound more realistic, but id rather not have the audio to a game i've been playing for 3 years just change randomly. rojamb (2 years ago)
I dont get why they are trying to make CS heavier and heavier with each update, adding un-wanted features that pile ontop of other unwanted features. When CS:GO was "polished" in mid-ish 2013, the great thing about it was that it was a modern shooter that was basic and easy to run and get into. In fact, that was the case for most CS games. If they continue to make it this way, they shouldn't advertise it as a sequel to a legendary shooter like the original CS but instead market it as a game that has CS like things but with features that people who never really played older CS games might like. This also sparks up the modding community as they can make a more basic less cluttered version of CS in the source engine, allowing people who dont like CS:GO to play that.
The History Nerd (2 years ago)
+ZOMG Good luck then
rojamb (2 years ago)
+Keith Raposa Jr. Actually ask about 10 percent of the CS:GO population and they will agree. In fact, Ill be posting updates to a Source Engine game/mod that im making that shares similarities to CS:CZ.
The History Nerd (2 years ago)
Shut up and go play the old CS then, with the bad graphics (source looks dated, but half life 2 doesn't) and barely anyone playing. This is what Valve wants and it's their game. They make tons of money with skins and people buying more than one copy for questionable purposes. Just leave, no one wants you

What do you think about this petition: https://www.change.org/p/valve-fix-your-game ?
neko (2 years ago)
This is a useless petition for a number of reasons. 1. They don't even fucking suggest how the fixes could be implemented, how they'd affect the game, etc. 2. They don't actually have anything constructive to say about *why* they believe that they are broken in the first place. All they're saying, like much of the community, is "I don't like [x], please fix Valve!!!!11!" and not actually offering anything that Valve can possibly work with to fix shit.

Valve have tried to address hackers with Prime matchmaking and the server tick, while not ideal, is still better than a majority of other similar games.

unban ibp cuz you can't fix anymore man. or at least reduce the ban. these ibp players are some of my favorites and we shouldn't let a mistake ruin some young players careers, I think they've learned their lesson.
neko (2 years ago)
I agree, I don't, but nor do I particularly care. They got banned for a good reason.
thekamotodragon (2 years ago)
except they didn't cheat , they did what most teams have done that have just not been caught like they were, they threw a match, for profit, that profit being btw like $200 per player back in 2014 where players made shit money anyway
neko (2 years ago)
They, despite being pro players, are not exempt from the rules, and they were fully aware of that when they started cheating. Hacking on a game that's your fucking career is setting up for your own downfall, and it was completely and utterly their own fault.

Totally Not A Spy (2 years ago)
The weapon skins have killed the game for me.
Totally Not A Spy (2 years ago)
I'll go with Counter Strike: Source, where if i want skins i can just download them or make them myself. I'd rather do that than play a game full of clownish weapons. As for the other games mentioned i do play them, but Counter Strike just has something more. Now, i understand your point and i know that you probably couldn't care less about my tastes, i just wish that this whole skin ordeal never happened. Adding more guns would've been better.
neko (2 years ago)
Deal with it. If you prefer realism, go play Arma, Red Orchestra or some shit.
Totally Not A Spy (2 years ago)
i wrote this incorrectly. The thing is though, i personally prefer realism. Seeing a task force of trained soldiers running around the map with pink AKs and golden M4s is rather ridiculous. I used to love this game, but then they decided to add this nonsense. Mods were much better.
neko (2 years ago)
Weapon skins do not affect gameplay. This should be obvious to you.

To be honest CS:GO's hit registration is broken so bad, and has been ever since the stupid "hitsphere" update, and as well as lots of other problems, CS:GO isn't even worthy of having a huge competitive scene like it does. Valve's updates have continued to break the game, make it more unstable and cause outrage in the community. Them introducing such huge changes without any form of testing/beta testing only results in the game becoming more and more broken. Now yes, the hitsphere update or whatever isn't the only reason hitreg is so problematic, but it worsened it from my POV. The game is never going to be 1:1, and the crappy tickrate also plays a part in the hitreg problems. Honestly if this weren't bad enough, cheats are all over the place and cheaters are rampid. It's easy to cheat and get away with it, you just gotta use your head. I mean I fucking cheated in casual matches all the fucking time, for 3 months, using PUBLIC cheats and never got banned. Now what if someone was good enough at covering it up in a competitive match and kept doing this for months? Oh wait people already do it and get away with it. Honestly I really liked this game for a long time, and wanted to see it get more players and become better. Unfortunately I stopped playing due to how broken the game is and the huge amounts of cheaters and griefers. I seriously hope Valve gets a fucking grip and at least tries to fix a lot of the issues with the game, and if that day ever comes (probably not lol) then I would be glad to start playing again. Anyways, hopefully not RIP CS:GO. But it looks that way from my point of view.
xh00 (2 years ago)
+Chen It's been planned for a long time, just haven't got the time to do it. I really only want 144 fps to play with a 144hz screen, would be awesome to get my FPS over that.
neko (2 years ago)
Source is a very optimized engine, and if you aren't able to run this game on low settings then it is DEFINITELY time for an upgrade in some respect. I am not saying this out of spite, but seriously, my laptop could hold 200 fps on this game at least. And I don't even consider it 'great'.
xh00 (2 years ago)
+Chen Yeah, I'm not sure I agree fully with you there. I looked up some benchmarks for that processor and the results were mixed. Some had 100-120 fps on highest with anti-aliasing on and some couldn't even get over 20 on lowest. I'm just gonna cut the bullcrap here and agree with you all that my PC is garbage, and I need to upgrade it. The only thing I wanted stated is that people over exaggerate how good it runs on all PC's. 60 fps isn't enough for this game. I have seen so many people that only get like 30 fps in CSGO, even lower minimum settings would not be bad. CSGO is after all supposed to be competitive, even though there are a lot of factors that make it less competitive than other CS titles. Looks shouldn't matter.
neko (2 years ago)
There are i3s that are on par with i7s. There's i7s that are only about as good as a high tier i5. Just because it has a bigger or smaller number doesn't mean it's better or worse. He's running it on a mobile processor, probably with a shitty low clock speed and terrible intergrated graphics, and he can still play it perfectly fine, according to him.
xh00 (2 years ago)
+LarryLazz Except having an i5 isn't a having a fucking toaster. Jesus dude, you think an i5 processor is bad? I was just stating the fact that I've seen benchmarks with other i5 processors running integrated with lower fps, maybe it was because they were running on highest settings, I don't know. I'm sorry dude, but your PC is not a toaster.

To be honest, one thing that could help the workshop would be making it more available for non-Windows creator. I'm not using a Mac by choice (it's the best working computer in the house currently), but at the moment, I haven't seen ways to access the SDK for CounterStrike: Global Offensive, and I haven't been able to use SFM, as neither are available on Mac. While this might not be a huge problem in their eyes, it is rather frustrating to get an idea for a skin, map, etc. and then remember that you can't help contribute anything simply because you aren't on Windows.
neko (2 years ago)
Bootcamp. That is all.
