Super Metroid Vs. Metroid Fusion | Nefarious Wes
Released for the Super Nintendo in 1994, Super Metroid is without a doubt one of the greatest and most influential action/adventure video games to ever grace this earth. Could it possibly be topped? Eight years later a sequel, Metroid Fusion, was released for the Game Boy Advance, and missed by many hardcore Metroid fans who declined to indulge in handheld gaming. Developed by R&D1, the same team that created the previous games in the franchise, Metroid Fusion continues bounty hunter Samus Arans' exploits throughout space and continues the tradition of space exploration and alien eradication. Fusion has some mighty big shoes to fill, so how will it fare against the archetype of 2D platforming exploration? Metroid Fusion Video Walkthrough
This is a video walkthrough / playthrough / runthrough / whatever of the Game Boy Advance game Metroid Fusion. In this video I complete the game with 100% items and a time quite under 2 hours. I had used ZeldaLinK's speed guide in preparation for this video. Took a few tries, but I was finally able to get all the items in a short amount of time. The boss fights could have gone a slight bit faster perhaps. I'm sure there are better strategies out there than the ones I used perhaps. I understand that the Japanese version has a hard mode, but since I try to do the US version of games if I can, I guess I didn't have much choice in the setting, so I apologize about that.

Metroid: Zero Mission Video Walkthrough
This is a video walkthrough / playthrough / runthrough / whatever of the Game Boy Advance game Metroid: Zero Mission. This is a 100% item run on hard that completes the game under 2 hours. I followed the guide made by superdynamo over at GameFAQs.com. I had quite a bit of practice using this guide (Took a few tries to get all the item locations down into memory) and it does exactly as the guide suggests more or less (I don't bother with saving my game, so I'm able to shave off a few extra minutes). My tactics for some boss fights could have been better I guess, but I was able to complete it all without too much trouble I suppose.

From 1986 we have the classic and now legendary Metroid for the Gameboy Advance. Metroid (Japanese: メトロイド Hepburn: Metoroido?) is a science fiction action-adventure video game series created by Nintendo. The series is primarily produced by the company's first-party developers, although some installments were handled by other developers, including Fuse Games, Team Ninja and Next Level Games. The series chronicles the missions of space-faring bounty hunter Samus Aran, who protects the galaxy from the depredations of the Space Pirates and their attempts to harness the power of the eponymous Metroids. Metroid combines the platforming of Super Mario Bros. and the exploration aspect of The Legend of Zelda with a decidedly darker atmosphere and a greater emphasis on nonlinear gameplay. Game Boy Advance Longplay [008] Metroid Fusion (Part 1/2)
http://www.longplays.org Played By: Tarosan Metroid Fusion is the 4th chapter of the Metroid saga, in this one Samus Aran returns to escort a Science team to the planet SR388 where she gets unknowingly infected by an X parasite, virions that can replicate their hosts physical appearances and memories, killing them afterward. Whilst returning to B.S.L she loses consciousness and crashes her ship into an asteroid field. The Galactic Federation recovers her body and discovers that the X Parasite infected Samus's central nervous system. They counteract the parasite's damage by creating a vaccine using Samus's cellular sample from the remains of a Metroid that Samus previously contacted. The vaccine cures Samus and also gives her Metroid-like characteristics, including the ability to absorb and use the nuclei of X Parasites for nourishment, and the Metroid's vulnerability to extremely cold temperatures. Her infected Power Suit is sent to the BSL station for examination. The Federation then sends Samus back to B.S.L where explosions were reported only for her to encounter a new threat that will surely wipe all life from the universe if not stopped.

Metroid: Zero Mission | Commercial, Promo | Nintendo Game Boy Advance (GBA)
Brought to you by: http://masternessp.com See More: http://www.youtube.com/user/MNPGameVideos/videos Who are you? Metroid: Zero Mission Commercial (2004) Metroid: Zero Mission (Japanese: メトロイドゼロミッション Hepburn: Metoroido Zero Misshon) is an action-adventure video game developed by Nintendo R&D1 for the Game Boy Advance handheld console. It was published by Nintendo in North America in February 2004, in Australia in March 2004, in Europe in April 2004, and in Japan in May 2004. It is the sixth installment of the Metroid series, an enhanced remake of the original Metroid game designed to retell the game's story. Like the other titles in the series, it features intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran as the player-controlled main character. Samus Aran travels to Zebes after learning that Space Pirates are experimenting with Metroids in an attempt to duplicate them and use them for their own gain. Samus finds and destroys Mother Brain, the mechanical life-form that controls the Space Pirates' base. However, while she escapes the planet in her gunship, she is attacked by Space Pirates, causing the ship to crash back onto Zebes, near the Space Pirate Mothership. Samus decides to explore the ship and encounters Ridley Robot, who she defeats. Finding a shuttle, she uses it to escape the planet as the Metroids and the Space Pirates' research are destroyed in an explosion. Reviews were generally positive towards the game; it received an aggregated score of 89 out of 100 from Metacritic. Praise focused on the new content, while criticism targeted the game's short length. Metroid: Zero Mission received several honors, including a 46th-place ranking in a list of the Top 200 Games compiled by Nintendo Power. It was also chosen as the 9th Best Game Boy Advance Game by IGN. The game has sold over 439,000 units in the United States and 69,000 in Japan as of February 2005. Metroid: Zero Mission takes place on Planet Zebes, a large, open-ended world with areas connected by doors and elevators. The player controls Samus Aran as she travels through the planet's caverns and environments, hunting Space Pirates. Along the way, the player collects power-ups that enhance Samus's armor and weaponry, as well as grant her special abilities. These abilities allow Samus to access areas that were previously inaccessible, so that the game can be played linearly or non-linearly. For example, the player may come across underground caverns that bypass certain sections, a method termed sequence breaking. To save their progress, players can enter either Save Rooms or Samus's ship on Crateria. As a remake of Metroid, Metroid: Zero Mission's layout bears a resemblance to the original's. However, new items, areas, and mini-bosses have been added, as well as a minimap and an area near the end of the game called Chozodia. Metroid: Zero Mission is the first game in the Metroid series to include a sequence in which the player controls Samus without her Power Suit. In this portion of the game, Samus is more vulnerable to damage, must crawl through ducts on her hands and knees without the help of her Morph Ball mode, and has a weak pistol that briefly stuns enemies as her only weapon. However, Samus retains all energy tanks she acquired previously. In Metroid: Zero Mission, power-ups and items make reappearances from previous games in the series, with similar uses, effects, and appearances.

Metroid Fusion (GBA) [Best Ending, 100% run w/ secret message easter egg] - Full Game
Super Metroid set the bar incredibly high and may be considered one of the best games of all time. How do you top that? Well, you don't. At least not with the approach this game took... Metroid Fusion is officially called Metroid 4 in the intro and takes place after Super Metroid. As far as I know it is the last game in the chronological order of the series. Samus returns to SR388 where she already exterminated all metroids but one hatchling. There, she is attacked by a life form now called "X". This parasite puts Samus into a critical condition where her chances of survival were deemed very low. Scientists were able to create a vaccine that included metroid DNA which was taken from the metroid hatchling thus eliminating the X in Samus. however, parts of her power suit had to be surgically removed due to the infection. yep, powers gone again. While Samus recovers, the removed pieces of her power suit are sent to a research station for analysis. the game starts when she docks with the station investigating an explosion. being a game for a handheld, Nintendo decided to use a more "accessible" aproach in game design. the station is separated in different zones connected by a hub of elevators, but access is restricted until the necessary security overrides for colored doors are activated. of course the environments set restrictions on accessibility too and you may need specific upgrades as in any other metroid game. at any time you have a clear objective and you can see the map for every zone as you enter the navigation rooms at the entrance of an area. there, you find a computer that tells you where to go and what to do next in cutscenes that you can't skip. while in metroid II it felt like a natural progression that areas open up, it doesn't feel right how metroid fusion handles this. you get sent to different areas several times and each time you can access a bit more the zone. you are spoonfed and and feels way too linear for a metroid game. yes, you backtrack and there are plenty of hidden items for 100% completion, but the objective based gameplay sucks in my opinion. Samus has a new trick up her sleeve now. she can grab onto ledges and pull herself up. her arsenal has been a bit streamlined. there is no distinction between regular and super missiles. you just get a missile upgrade which turns them all into super missiles. there is also an ice missile upgrad instead of the ice beam and a diffusion effect for the missile which makes it hit an area of effect if charged up. the grappling hook is gone, but you can now climb on ceilings in specific areas. i think the rest is still there. well, how does it play? it plays very smoothly. Samus feels more ninja-like than ever. the game is not very hard with recharge rooms in every zone and, as mentioned, you can hardly get lost. however, the difficulty spikes if you go for the best ending which is 100% completion (find all upgrades) and keeping the time under two hours. don't even try if you haven't mastered shinesparking (continuously keep a speed boost active). about five or so upgrades are very tricky to get and you waste many minutes if you haven't gotten it down well. even then you need to take shortcuts and use a really efficient route to stay under two hours. it is not frustratingly difficult, but it is a good challenge. as mentioned, the game handles flawlessly, but the cutscenes that can't be skipped are annoying. you can just speed up the text. the graphics are good. a bit better than what the SNES could do and much more colorful than super metroid thus losing the claustrophobic and gloomy atmosphere. some people may not like it, but the art style is ok. the audio is also very good, but not as good as super metroid. is it worth your time? absolutely. sure, it is in my opinion one of the weaker entries in the series and i like zero mission more, but since it doesn't have major flaws, most complaints are just nitpicking. please don't forget to subscribe if you like my videos! thanks!

[Game Boy Advance] Metroid Fusion 100% Walkthrough #7
Metroid Fusion (メトロイドフュージョン Metoroido Fyūjon), also known as Metroid 4 and referred to as Metroid IV during production, is currently the last game chronologically in the Metroid series. It is also the first of two Metroid games released on the Game Boy Advance. It, along with Metroid Prime, is the first Metroid game released in eight years since Super Metroid in 1994. It occurs after Metroid: Other M. The gameplay of Metroid Fusion is quite different from other Metroid games as it is very linear; it also introduces a non-playable cybernetic entity who provides Samus with specific objectives, thus making Sequence Breaking and free exploration nearly impossible until the endgame. Players who were qualified as 3DS "ambassadors" have recently received a free downloadable copy of Metroid Fusion as well as several other Game Boy Advance games. The game was subsequently released as a Virtual Console title for the Wii U on April 3, 2014. Like & Share if you like the video! Metroid Fusion Playthrough (Game Boy Player Capture) - Part 1
This is part 1 of my 100% playthrough of Metroid Fusion for the Game Boy Advance. This is not an emulator and was not played on the Wii U Virtual Console. This footage was recorded directly from my GameCube using my Game Boy Player with progressive scan mode enabled (you'll need the GameCube's component cables to do this and your model of GameCube must support component out as well). As I've stated before, I grew up with the NES and played a little bit of the original Metroid at other people's houses. Also, my brother owned Metroid II for the Game Boy, which I also played here and there. So I knew about the series, but for whatever reason, I didn't get into it as a kid. Years later, when Nintendo announced Metroid Prime for the GameCube, I decided to give the series a real shot by asking for the game for Christmas. However, Nintendo didn't simply resurrect the Metroid series through Metroid Prime alone. Instead, Nintendo released both Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion, the latter of which for the Game Boy Advance. There was no reason for me to get Metroid Prime and not Fusion, so I asked for and received both games for Christmas of 2002. I then proceeded to play through both games simultaneously, although I devoted far more attention to Metroid Prime, which was by far the better game. Metroid Fusion, however, was not a bad game. Fusion had an interesting concept with the X parasites and Samus having to regain her abilities by tracking down infected portions of her power suit. It also did a good job of creating an intimidating and scary environment, especially through the SA-X. Even though Fusion was quite linear, I felt that the mission-based structure worked well in conjunction with scary atmosphere. The gameplay, which was based on Super Metroid, also worked quite well. However, I didn't care for the look of the new Fusion suit, and I didn't care for the sudden, invasive narrative that got injected into the game. Although I generally don't care about stories, Fusion's story was problematic to me, especially the ending and the introduction of "Adam" - a character who shouldn't even exist. But putting aside these narrative problems, I like the game, and I will certainly enjoy playing through it again. I've beaten this game twice before, but I've never gotten 100%. This is because I originally received a dual Metroid Prime/Metroid Fusion Strategy Guide back in 2002 that didn't do a good job of telling me how to collect all of the power-ups. However, a few years ago I got rid of that guide and picked up the Official Nintendo Power Player's Guide. I'll be using that official guide to help me get 100% of the items, but I won't be beating this game under 2 hours because you have to be extremely efficient to do that. Like usual, I'll be keeping track of all the items I collect in each video, so you can treat this playthrough as a walkthrough if you like. In this first part I started a new save file, obtained missiles and reacquired the Morph Ball ability. Items collected: Missiles - 15:37 Missile Tank # 1 - 18:00 Missile Tank # 2 - 18:07 Energy Tank # 1 - 19:05 Energy Tank # 2 - 19:12 Morph Ball - 20:30 Recorded with the Hauppauge HD PVR and the GameCube's component cables at 60 frames per second. I'm using an original model Game Boy Advance as a controller via a GameCube/Game Boy Advance Link Cable.

Quer mandar algo pra mim?

Metroid II: Return of Samus Playthrough (Game Boy Player Capture) - Part 1
This is part 1 of my 100% playthrough of Metroid II: Return of Samus for the Game Boy. This is not an emulator. This footage was captured directly from my GameCube using my Game Boy Player with progressive scan mode enabled (you'll need the GameCube's component cables to do this and your model of GameCube must support component out as well). Following up on my redone Metroid and Super Metroid playthroughs, here's Metroid II in 60 fps. When I was a kid my brother was a fan of the Metroid games, although I don't think he ever beat any of them (he didn't play games all that much and typically didn't care about beating them). However, he did own this game, and I played it occasionally. But I never really got into it. Like I said in my Metroid playthrough, I wasn't really into the Metroid series as a kid. It wasn't until Metroid Prime came out that I gave the series a real shot and started acquiring all the titles. By that time though, my brother had already sold his Game Boy and all of his games (including this one). So I had to purchase my own complete copy off eBay in 2012. I then played through the entire game for the first time in 2013 and uploaded the footage. Metroid II turned out to be a lot of fun. The atmosphere was really eerie, and I loved battling all the Metroids and collecting upgrades. The Spider Ball in particular was really cool. Nintendo Power originally posted a limited feature on this game in Volume 31 (December 1991 issue), but it only covered the first two phases of the game. The magazine then quickly revisited the game in Volume 37 (June 1992 issue) and provided a complete guide with hand-drawn maps. So I'm using both issues to guide me in this playthrough. You'll probably notice that the Game Boy Player is adding a really bright color palette to this game, beyond what you'd see applied in other Game Boy games (for instance, the first Wario Land). That's because the Game Boy Color has a specific default color palette that it applies to this game, as well as some others. This feature was built directly into the hardware and was also included in the Game Boy Advance due its backwards compatibility. Since the Game Boy Player is technically Game Boy Advance hardware, the built-in color palette is included. So Samus appears in her normal colors and instead of green or something weird like that. Once again, I'll be keeping track of the items I collect in this game, as well as the Metroids I defeat. In this first part I completed Phases 1 and 2 (the phases refer to the sections you open up as you progress). After that I headed to the save point in the Phase 3 area. Items collected: Morph Ball Bomb - 7:07 Missile Expansion # 1 - 7:23 Energy Tank # 1 - 7:55 Ice Beam - 8:30 Missile Expansion # 2 - 9:05 Missile Expansion # 3 - 9:17 Spider Ball - 10:03 Missile Expansion # 4 - 12:00 Missile Expansion # 5 - 12:54 Missile Expansion # 6 - 13:18 Metroids defeated: Alpha Metroid # 1 - 2:15 Alpha Metroid # 2 - 11:07 Alpha Metroid # 3 - 15:45 Alpha Metroid # 4 - 16:42 Alpha Metroid # 5 - 17:25 Alpha Metroid # 6 - 22:06 Recorded with the Hauppauge HD PVR and the GameCube's component cables at 60 frames per second. No jumping frames. The only downside is that when you run the v-rally 3 and Pokemon - Yellow Version, you will have a broken voice in the conference. Are you satisfied with that?

Metroid: Zero Mission (GBA) [Hard Mode, 100% run] - Full Game
I have already done a playthrough of the other GBA Metroid game named Metroid Fusion so it made sense to do this one next. It is a re-make of the original NES version of Metroid with much improved graphics and added gameplay improvements from its sequels. The developers didn't stop at that. They even extended the game and approximately doubled the size by adding a new segment on a space pirate mother ship. As in the original, Samus simply appears on brinstar right next to her first upgrade, the morph ball. then you are off to explore the caverns of planet Zebes, pimp your power suit and defeat mother brain. the game continues at that point, but I don't want to spoil more than I already mentioned above. In my opinion the original metroid is still a great game, but the series has progressed so far that the NES game looks ancient by now. it's a great idea to re-release it with all kinds of enhancements and see what it could have been with better technology. by the way, the original metroid game from the NES is playable in the GBA version as well so that's a pretty good deal. One of the first things that becomes apparent, aside from technical improvements, is that this version is really easy. bomb jumps are extremely easy, even diagonally, the jumps feel more accurate, weapons feel more powerful, you can refill energy and weapons at save points and chozo statues, she can grab onto ledges with the power grip... this time, however, there is a hard mode after you beat normal mode. it existed in metroid fusion as well, but only in the japanese version. hard mode and 100% completion will keep you busy for a while, but i found it easier to stay under 2 hours in this game than in fusion. that was probably because fusion required a lot more complex shinesparks and i hated those. The game has a really good feeling. Samus' controls are responsive, the graphics are great, the sound is ok as well, though not particularly amazing, and the expanded storyline is a great addition to the lore and fits in the game nicely. I think this is the complete package of the original metroid. without my nostalgia goggles, I would say the GBA re-make is clearly the superior version. you even get the original game as well so you can fall back to that one any time. the only complaints i have are that the cutscenes add little to the understanding of what is going on and that the power bombs have no real purpose other than breaking a glass corridor like in super metroid and getting more power bombs for the completion score. the cutscenes look like pages ripped out of a comic book and handed over to you with the remark "here, this is the story". speaking of cutscenes: Samus looks incredibly ugly. her face looks almost deformed. whoever was the artist that drew her and whoever approved that to be added into the game is evil beyond redemption. Please don't forget to subscribe if you like my videos! thanks!

Metroid Fusion (Metroid 4) for the Gameboy advance (2002), the direct sequel of Super Nintendo's Super Metroid and "other M" on the Wii. It was one of the best games in the portable system and one of the best Metroid games overall.
